Flying back home after some 16 days in Rio. I bring with me back home, not only clothing in need of a visit to the washing machine, but also a lot of improvements in my sailing and understanding on the demands Rio put on the sailor and what I personally will put in effort on, until next time in Rio.
Flying over to Brazil I was prepared for some two weeks of proper light wind. The fact of the matter is that most of the days we had free pumping (10 knots or above). I can tell you, Rio is awesome places that challenge you as a sailor, with shifty winds, termal effects and on the ofshore courses you have massive swell.
